Rajaram Shakti Sewa Foundation values every donor's contribution. We understand that sometimes errors occur during transactions. This policy outlines our approach to refunds and cancellations.
1. Nature of Donations
Donations made to Rajaram Shakti Sewa Foundation are voluntary contributions towards charitable purposes. As a general principle, donations once made are considered final and non-refundable, as they are immediately allocated towards our ongoing programs and beneficiaries.
2. When Refunds Are Applicable
We will process a refund in the following circumstances:
Eligible for Refund
- Duplicate Transaction: If your account was charged multiple times for the same donation due to a technical error
- Incorrect Amount: If an amount significantly different from what you intended was charged (e.g., ₹10,000 charged instead of ₹1,000)
- Unauthorized Transaction: If a donation was made without your authorization (fraudulent use of your payment method)
- Technical Error: If the payment was deducted but not reflected in our system due to a gateway error
Not Eligible for Refund
- Change of mind after a successful donation
- Donations made more than 30 days ago
- Donations where 80G receipt has already been issued and claimed
- Donations made through offline modes (cash, cheque) — separate process applies
3. Refund Request Process
To request a refund, please follow these steps:
- Email us at info@rshaktisewafoundation.org with subject line: "Refund Request - [Your Name]"
- Include the following details:
- Full name (as used during donation)
- Email address used for donation
- Transaction/Payment ID (from your receipt or bank statement)
- Date of transaction
- Amount
- Reason for refund request
- Bank account details for refund (Account No., IFSC, Account Holder Name)
- Our team will review your request within 3-5 business days
- You will receive an email confirmation once the refund is approved or declined

5. Refund Method
- Refunds will be processed to the original payment method used for the donation wherever possible
- If the original method is unavailable, refund will be made via NEFT/IMPS to the bank account provided
- Refunds will be in Indian Rupees (INR) only
- Any payment gateway charges or transaction fees deducted by Razorpay may not be refundable
6. Cancellation of Recurring Donations
If you have set up a recurring (monthly) donation:
- You can cancel future recurring payments at any time
- Email us at info@rshaktisewafoundation.org with your details to cancel
- Cancellation will be effective from the next billing cycle
- Past recurring payments that have already been processed are non-refundable
- You can also cancel directly through your Razorpay account or bank
7. 80G Receipt and Refunds
- If a refund is processed for a donation where an 80G receipt was issued, the receipt stands cancelled
- You must not claim tax deduction for refunded donations
- We will notify you via email about the cancellation of the 80G receipt
- It is your responsibility to inform your tax consultant about the refund
8. Partial Refunds
In cases where only a partial amount needs to be refunded (e.g., duplicate charge of ₹5,000 when you intended ₹5,000 — total charged ₹10,000), we will refund only the excess amount.
9. Disputes
If you are unsatisfied with our refund decision:
- You may escalate the matter by writing to our Grievance Officer at info@rshaktisewafoundation.org
- We will review escalated cases within 7 business days
- Our decision on escalated cases will be final
- You may also raise a dispute with your bank or payment provider
10. Force Majeure
The Foundation shall not be held responsible for any delay in refund processing due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, bank holidays, system outages, or government-imposed restrictions.
